Atletico Madrid remain committed to keeping forward Julian Alvarez, despite interest from Barcelona and Arsenal. “We don’t want to transfer him,” said Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin. Club coach Diego Simeone emphasized that Alvarez will continue to grow and improve under the team’s care.
Alvarez has already scored 49 goals for Atletico since his move from Manchester City two years ago and is due to rejoin the squad in two days following a World Cup break. Reports suggest interest from Real Madrid as well, with a rejected €150 million bid previously disclosed. “From a sporting perspective, we are very happy to have a footballer like Julian,” Simeone said.
