Amy Hunt and British Relay Team Defend European Title

British runners Amy Hunt, Dina Asher-Smith, Success Eduan, and Imani-Lara Lansiquot defended the 4x100m relay title at the ongoing European Championships in Birmingham. The team finished with a swift time of 42.05 seconds, comfortably outpacing Switzerland (43.12) and Poland (43.15).

In a night of back-to-back wins for the host nation, Asher-Smith now shares top spot on the all-time medals table with Irena Szewinska from Poland, each with 10 career medals. Hunt, also a double European sprint champion earlier in the week, expressed her joy and ambition for a historic quadruple gold.

“It was incredible to come together with these inspiring ladies – everyone had so much going on,” said Hunt. “We’ve got all superwomen out there, and it’s been such fun.”
