Liverpool's Chiesa Aims for New Start with Iraola
Federico Chiesa wants a fresh start at Liverpool under new manager Andoni Iraola, expressing a desire to prove his worth after two frustrating seasons under Arne Slot. The 28-year-old forward scored in a friendly win against Sunderland and now looks to establish himself more prominently within the team's attack.
Despite making 36 appearances for Liverpool last season, Chiesa struggled with just five starts out of those games. His only Premier League start came on February 14th, when he played in the FA Cup fourth-round match against Brighton. Chiesa attributes his limited playing time to the tactical decisions made by Slot and hopes that Iraola will provide him an opportunity to show his abilities.
