Former Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers star Deebo Samuel says he still has a lot left in him, claiming three to four more years of solid performance ahead. Despite free agency challenges, the 30-year-old believes he'll continue playing at an elite level with the right opportunity coming his way soon.
Samuel, among the best remaining players on the NFL free agent market, spoke candidly about his current situation in a recent video posted to his YouTube page. ‘Going on Year 8 … I still feel like I got a lot, at least three or four good years left,’ Samuel said, adding that constant ups and downs have been tough but not enough to make him quit.
Looking Back: Commanders' Misfortune
Following six successful seasons with the 49ers (2019-2024), Samuel was traded to the Commanders, where he struggled in 2025. Under new quarterback Jayden Daniels and a struggling team, Samuel still managed impressive totals including 727 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

The veteran has consistently shown his value on the field since his 2021 All-Pro campaign. Over four seasons (2022-25), he averaged 59.8 catches for 730.3 yards and 4.3 touchdowns, and rushed for over 167 yards annually.
