Nigerian Star Ella Onojuvwevwo Qualifies for Commonwealth Games 400m Final

Nigerian sprinter Ella Onojuvwevwo qualified for the Commonwealth Games women’s 400m final, securing one of the two automatic spots with a time of 51.47 seconds in Semi-final Three. This puts Nigeria's medal hopes solely on the shoulders of the young star, as veteran campaigners Patience Okon George and Esther Elo Joseph were eliminated.

The race was highly competitive, with Wales’ Charlotte Henrich securing another automatic spot alongside Onojuvwevwo, both in 52.13 seconds. Meanwhile, Jamaica’s Dejanea Oakley won the second semi-final in a remarkable time of 51.18 seconds.
