The Football Association issues statement on violent fight among England Under-16s during international camp

Two England Under-16s footballers have been filmed violently fighting in a hotel room, sparking outrage and calls for stricter player behavior policies. The 58-second video shows two young players engaging in punches and headlocks, with team-mates loudly encouraging them to fight.

The clip has gone viral on social media since posting on Wednesday, having been viewed more than 12 million times. In the footage, one player is seen pushing another onto a bed and repeatedly punching him, while others shout encouragement like 'f*** him up' and 'shut the door'. The video’s authenticity was confirmed by the FA – an English U16 side played in Turkey against local teams earlier this year.
