Newcastle-born Beau Greaves triumphed over defending champion Fallon Sherrock to secure her third Women's World Matchplay title, a hard-fought win at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. Greaves faced intense pressure in the last leg but hit back with a maximum 180 to clinch victory against all odds.
Despite having held a 5-3 lead earlier in the final, Greaves was forced into a thrilling decider with Sherrock hitting the winning shot. However, Greaves remained calm and composed, landing her own maximum dart followed by a critical setup shot to take out 56, sealing the win.
