26-Year-Old Leon Gillespie Pleads Guilty to Causing Nuisance at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Wales
A man disguised as the Grim Reaper was arrested after climbing onto the roof of Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital in St Asaph, Wales. On June 6, he held a long blade and stared down at patients, staff, and visitors below. Four police cars and fire service vehicles were called to the scene before Gillespie was brought down.
Despite claiming he was dressed as just a crow, witnesses described his outfit accurately as resembling a Grim Reaper costume.
Gillespie’s stunt came with serious consequences: Llandudno Magistrates’ Court handed him a £200 fine for causing a nuisance without reasonable excuse on NHS premises. He also faced fines of up to £40 from a local Pets at Home and Sainsbury's in Llandudno.
