Hearts Struggle as Vrancken's Watch Ends with Defeat

Hearts crumble after losing key players and new head coach's first game is a disaster.

Northern Irish legend Derek McInnes and Scottish striker Lawrence Shankland left Hearts this summer. Now Belgian coach Wouter Vrancken’s initial challenge has ended with a crushing 4-0 defeat against Sturm Graz in Champions League qualification, just six days on the job.

After losing McInnes, head coach to Rangers, Shankland was sold for free following his three-year deal. The club signed new head coach Vrancken, promising chaos within structure. In his first game, he failed to deliver anything but a chaotic mess, where Hearts dominated possession and created multiple chances yet remained defenseless against the Austrian outfit.
