Honda Tests New Power Unit on Aston Martin’s AMR26 at Dutch GP

Honda's Trackside General Manager Shintaro Orihara confirmed that 'In Hungary, we have been supporting the team with the power unit integration. We’ve also been able to collect vital data, which will help us come the next race.' The outfit is now targeting a debut of their new engine in Zandvoort at the Dutch round on June 3rd.

Aston Martin's Chief Trackside Officer Mike Krack emphasized the team’s efforts to improve their relationship with Honda. ‘We knew that there would be a lot of difficult moments,’ he said, 'but it is something that you have to go through, and then you improve from there.' The factory in Silverstone and Honda’s Sakura headquarters have seen significant collaboration.
Krack also stated: “Believe me, it was tough, but it is something that you have to go through, and then you improve from there. I think we need to be grown up, we need be professional, in such situations, and we need to get ourselves out of it.”
