Former Japan international Kazuyoshi Miura, affectionately known as ‘King Kazu,’ recently found the back of the net after a four-year hiatus. The Japanese football icon scored during his 52nd minute appearance for Fukushima United against Iwaki Furukawa in the Emperor’s Cup on Saturday.
Miura, now 59 years old, struck as part of a historic achievement, putting his team ahead with a first-time finish from a teammate's cross. The goal not only boosted morale but also sparked celebrations amongst teammates and supporters alike. Miura, whose career has spanned over four decades, was substituted after the goal.
