Lagos Teen Volleyball Star Targets National Success
Emmanuel Komolafe, a student at Covenant Ambassador College in Okpeki, is set to compete for Lagos State’s boys’ volleyball squad in the upcoming 1st National Intermediate Games. The games, hosted by The Centre of Excellence from October 1st to 15th, will see Komolafe and his teammates vie for top honors.
Komolafe has a strong background as he has played twice at the national level, representing Team Lagos' under-15 squad in the National Youth Games. Despite missing out on this year’s games due to injury, he is now determined to make amends by earning his spot in the State's boys’ volleyball team for the inaugural Intermediate Games.
“I’ve been playing volleyball since 2021, and I’m glad to be back healthier and stronger,” Komolafe says. He credits daily training sessions with CorePlay Volleyball Academy and Head Coach Ekanem Yellow-Duke as instrumental in his improvement.
