A popular food influencer, known as Dr Food on TikTok, has been sentenced to life in prison with hard labor. Georges Hanna Dib, the real-life Walter White of Lebanon, was found guilty alongside several others in a major drug manufacturing and smuggling case.
The Mount Lebanon Criminal Court convicted Dib in absentia, alleging that he had manufactured cannabis-based narcotics and hidden them inside biscuit products before shipping them abroad through Turkey. The drugs were reportedly concealed in cake packaging produced at his factory in Baalbek, leading to the seizure of 820kg (about 1,800 pounds) of hashish.

The case gained attention as it was linked to the Lebanese economy. Dib’s Dr Food brand had over five million followers on TikTok, where he advertised culinary products under his brand name. Despite the name, he is not a medical doctor. After being accused of criminal activity, Dib claimed innocence and that a full legal team was handling his case.
Following reports of the ruling, Dib posted several videos denying the allegations. He stated he had been wronged for four years and maintained his innocence. However, he did acknowledge that Lebanon’s Ministry of Economy had recently conducted an unannounced inspection of his factory, which he claimed passed testing. The influencer urged followers to wait until the judicial process was complete.
