Rulli Joins Manchester City from Marseille
Argentine goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli has joined the Premier League club on a two-year deal, returning to Etihad Stadium where he spent part of the 2016-17 season. According to reporting by BBC Sport - Football.
Rulli was signed in a £1.7 million transfer after James Traughton’s move to Leeds United for up to £45 million. The veteran goalkeeper will serve as an understudy to the club’s first-choice keeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Rulli’s Playing Experience
The 34-year-old has previously had stints at clubs like Real Sociedad, Montpellier, Ajax and Villarreal. He’s known for his performances in the 2021 Europa League final against Manchester United, where he scored a penalty and saved a shot from David de Gea.

Rulli is an experienced international player having earned eight caps for Argentina's national team under coach Scioscia. He was part of the squad that won the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Copa America, reaching the final of the 2026 World Cup.
