Morocco Ready To Host Wafcon 'Any Time' Despite Uncertainty

Three weeks after the last-minute postponement of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon), Morocco remains ready to host the tournament. The delay, citing “unforeseen circumstances,” has left questions unanswered while a senior member of the Moroccan government assures the country is always prepared.

In a statement, Minister Ryad Mezzour told BBC Sport - Nigeria that ''Morocco will be very proud and happy'' to host Wafcon, be it this month or in three months. This comes as the kingdom has hosted two consecutive editions of this tournament, among other continental football competitions.
