North Central Development Commission Demands Swift Justice After Benue Community Attacks
The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) expressed deep grief and concern over reports of violent attacks in Otukpo-Nobi and Akpachi-Ugboju communities within the Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria. The managing director of NCDC, Dr Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, strongly condemned these unnecessary acts of violence, extending heartfelt condolences to affected families and local communities. According to Daily Post Nigeria reporting.
The Commission highlighted the importance of peace and security for sustainable development in the North Central region. They warned that recurring acts of violence could hinder efforts to improve livelihoods and socio-economic transformation in Benue State and the wider North Central area. The NCDC has called on relevant security agencies to intensify their efforts to apprehend those responsible.
Security Apprehension Urged
The managing director of the NCDC stressed that measures must be taken promptly to restore peace and strengthen security in affected areas, thereby guaranteeing protection for lives and property. The NCDC emphasized its solidarity with Benue State government and the local communities during this difficult time.
