New NAFF President Hit with Fresh Ideas for Improving the Game
Sports247 Nigeria reports that Prince Opukiri Jones-Ere, who just took over as the new president of the Nigeria Amputee Football Federation (NAFF), has received a wealth of innovative ideas from Nnanna Nwakpa. As the defender for the Special Eagles national team and founder of Phoenix Amputee Sports Club, Nwakpa has laid out several key goals to push amputee football forward in Nigeria.
Firstly, he congratulates Jones-Ere on his election but insists that 'he has to hit the ground running. There’s no time to waste getting settled into office. He must kick off immediately.' Nwakpa believes this new president should aim to increase attention for amputee football and create local competitions.
“We need a national amputee football league,” Nwakpa stated passionately.
