Exec Ubi Franklin Reveals Struggle with Depression after Nollywood Actress Lilian Esoro Relationship Ends

Nigerian music executive and talent manager, Ubi Franklin, has opened up about battling depression following the end of his five-year relationship with Nollywood actress, Lilian Esoro. In an emotional episode of his podcast, Talks with Ubi Franklin, released on Wednesday, he detailed the difficult period that followed their divorce.

Franklin recounted how they first met in 2015 and quickly fell in love; however, their relationship faced setbacks when he proposed to her on March 19. Esoro had a change of heart, leaving him deeply embarrassed. Despite this setback, the two eventually got married and had their son together.

However, Franklin's happiness didn't last long as they divorced after years of struggle. He described this period as one of his darkest moments: 'I remember one time, I bought a red CLA, and I drove that car to Third Mainland Bridge to go and commit suicide.' Fortunately, he was saved by his cousin.
