Norwegian Cyclist Haugset Triumphs in Tour de France Femmes Stage Win
Swedish national champion Lotte Kopecky couldn’t catch the Norwegian Sigrid Haugset, who broke away alone and won stage three of the Tour de France Femmes. Haugset now leads by 2min 2sec from Kim Le Court.
Haugset’s shocking performance came during a 90km breakaway in which she overtook leading teams and even outdistanced Kopecky, who couldn’t close the gap despite her strong efforts at times. “I never thought it was possible,” Haugset said. “It's unreal.”
Stage Three Victory and Overall Lead
Norwegian national champion Sigrid Haugset took a commanding stage three victory in the Tour de France Femmes, securing not just an impressive solo outing but also leading overall after Poligny.
