Oyo Stars Shine at 10th AGWF Basketball Combine
Two Most Valuable Players (MVPs) were named as the Aminu Good Works Foundation Nigeria Basketball Combine concluded, highlighting the talent from Oyo State. Precious Jude and Ajibade Abraham were among those recognized for their performances during the three-day event which took place in Ibadan.
The annual combine serves to identify promising young prospects and help them develop their skills, with this year’s edition featuring 150 participants across male and female categories, drawn mainly from Oyo State. The initiative is part of a broader push to strengthen Nigerian basketball on both domestic and international stages.
The event attracted notable attendance, including 15 coaches who assisted in the training and evaluation process for each player. Nigerian basketball icon Aminu Al-Farouq, founder of AGWF, expressed his satisfaction with the talent discovered during this year’s combine:
