Panthers to Continue Playing at Bank of America Stadium
The Carolina Panthers have announced a long-term extension of their naming rights agreement with Bank of America, securing their presence in Charlotte through 2031. This move complements significant renovations planned for the venue.
According to reporting by ProFootballTalk (NBC Sports), the Panthers will also pour an additional $500 million towards the project, ensuring that the funding exceeds $1.3 billion and includes a new 4,400-seat entertainment venue among other upgrades.
New Funding, Upgrades to Bank of America Stadium
The renovations are part of a massive $800 million overhaul, with the city contributing $650 million in funds from its budget. David Tepper, owner of the team, has pledged an additional $500 million, making the total investment nearly half a billion above the initial plans.
