The New England Patriots have added experience to their tight end corps by signing first-year tight end Mitch Van Vooren. The move was announced on Wednesday, bringing the 25-year-old a fresh start after stints with Seattle and Cleveland.

Van Vooren joined the National Collegiate Athletic Association conference as a track athlete at Marquette University before entering the NFL as a rookie free agent in 2023. His first professional stop was with the Seattle Seahawks, where he signed as an undrafted player. After going unused on the roster, he briefly played for the Cleveland Browns.
