Security Forces Successfully Crack Down on Terrorists in Ogbomoso Siege After 56 Days
President Bola Tinubu expressed profound joy over the successful rescue of about 30 abducted pupils and teachers from Oriire community in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The rescue was carried out by a joint military, police, and intelligence operation lasting 56 days.
The president commended the bravery of the security forces for their continuous efforts to end the siege. “I am profoundly happy that our security forces successfully rescued the abducted pupils and teachers from Oriire, Ogbomoso in Oyo State,” he stated.
Security Agency Heroes Honored
The President praised the military, DSS, and police for their tireless work to neutralize terrorists involved. Eight suspected criminals were arrested as a result of this operation, bringing relief to affected families across the nation.
Government Vows Justice
In response to the gruesome murder of Mr Oyedokun by terrorists, President Tinubu assured that justice will be served for all victims. He also praised the cooperation between federal and state governments in concluding this operation successfully.
