Adeyemi Denies All Accusations as Hakeem Baba-Ahmed Pushes for Judicial Probe
In a growing political scandal, former presidential aide Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has called for a judicial commission of enquiry to investigate the latest saga involving Femi Gbajabiamila and Adeniyi Adeyemi. Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, initially denied knowledge when presenting himself as the Director General of PFIPC in June 2026. Adeyemi later faced charges for forgery and impersonation after being exposed through forged appointment letters. According to reporting by Daily Post Nigeria.
Gbajabiamila petitioned security agencies in October 2025, while Adeyemi remains dismissive of the allegations against him. President Tinubu has ordered a probe into the matter but Baba-Ahmed insists the presidency cannot investigate itself. This development adds to mounting concerns over strongman politics and weakened administration, according to Hakeem.
