Arsenal Eyeing Brazilian Winger as Real Madrid Faces FOMO in Transfer Window

Real Madrid may sell Vinicius Jr. this summer if the 25-year-old wingers' contract negotiations break down, with Arsenal reportedly keeping an eye on his situation. According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid has offered a new deal, but any further increases are off the table.

Madrid have less than a year left on Vinicius’ current contract unless he signs a new one by this summer or could leave as a free agent next year if an agreement is not reached. His future hangs in the balance amid club concerns over staying power without increasing his salary structure, despite his importance to Madrid.

With only 12 months left on Vinicius' deal, Arsenal have reportedly been considering moving for the Brazilian striker before the window closes, although no formal offer has been made. Meanwhile, his position could face competition following the expected arrival of Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to €135 million.

Marca states that Vinicius himself would prefer not to leave as a free agent, but Madrid wants to secure him until next year.

Note: Less than 12 months remain on Vinicius' contract before he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2024.

Will Arsenal Make an Offer?

This move would certainly depend on if Arsenal feels comfortable with what their bid will be worth for the Brazilian star.

What If Vinicius Rejects Real Madrid's Deal?

If he declines Real Madrid’s latest offer, they could sell him this summer or risk losing him without compensation next year.
