Young Gymnast Makes History for Scotland
Reagen Ward, a 21-year-old from Glasgow, has made history as the first Scottish man to win an all-around gymnastics title at the Commonwealth Games.
This monumental achievement was secured on home soil during a thrilling competition in Glasgow. At the end of June's event, Ward emerged victorious with a total score of 79.650 across six apparatus, just enough to hold off Canadian Felix Dolci and Australian Jesse Moore for silver and bronze positions respectively.

The Scotsman faced significant pressure as he competed in front of his hometown crowd. He maintained nerves of steel early on, standing tall at the top of a congested leaderboard after two crucial rotations. His score of 12.7 seemed to secure his gold medal, despite facing intense competition from Canadian Felix Dolci and Australian Jesse Moore.
