Four unprecedented clubs aim to become champions in Série D ZeroUm

The Brasileirão Second Division – Série D ZeroUm – defined this weekend the four teams that secured promotion and are now competing in the semifinals. This year, the competition will feature a new champion, as ABC-RN, Uberlândia-MG, ASA-AL, and Gama-DF have never lifted the trophy.

FOOTBALL AND HISTORY

Despite being new to the third division promotion competition, three of the four clubs have already won a national championship, notably ABC-RN (Série C 2010), Uberlândia-MG, and Gama-DF.

HISTORIC RECORD

Uberlândia-MG is the only team in this group that has not yet won a Brazilian Championship title. However, they won the Série B do Catarinense in 1984 by defeating Remo in the final. The rest of the list also has great stories behind their names.

LOOKING AHEAD

Soon, the teams will face important duels, such as Uberlândia-MG vs ABC-RN, and the teams eliminated in the quarterfinals still have the possibility of achieving promotion to Série C through the playoffs.
