Nigerian Musicians Clash Over Rivalry and False Rumors
Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale, has accused Burna Boy of ignoring his calls over rumors that he had an affair with the Nigerian artist's girlfriend during a visit to Ghana.
After parts ways with some of his team members in Nigeria, the claims against Shatta Wale intensified, leading to a personal rift between the two stars. “They told Burna Boy that I was f**king his girl he brought to Ghana,” Wale stated in an interview for The Honest Bunch Podcast.
Despite attempts by Wale and even Bose Ogulu, Burna Boy's mother and manager, efforts at communication were unsuccessful as Burna Boy kept silent. “Burna has just not returned my calls or messages. I’ve even tried his mom and his manager but no dice,” said Wale.
Impact on Relationships
The fallout from the rumors appears to have soured their professional relationship, with Wale claiming he lost Burna Boy’s trust when team members allegedly spread false rumors of a personal affair.
