Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White is fuming over officials' handling of a controversial clash between star player Caitlin Clark and Mercury's Alyssa Thomas. The incident occurred during Wednesday's 111-109 loss to Phoenix Mercury, where Clark left injured in the third quarter.

Alyssa Thomas was sanctioned retrospectively on Thursday for 'reckless' contact with her fist to Clark's throat area after a ball tussle and is facing a one-game suspension. Meanwhile, officials failed to call subsequent fouls that led to Clark’s discomfort and later injury during a three-point attempt.
