Former England cricketer Ben Stokes, speaking on the For the Love of Cricket podcast, has expressed his enthusiasm for coaching the national team in the future. The 35-year-old all-rounder, who was Test captain from 2022 until June this year, announced his international retirement post-New Zealand.

“I know what I want to do, which is to be a coach. And would I love to be coach of England one day? Absolutely. I just really like the idea of being in some form of leadership away from playing,” said Stokes, who is now focused on completing his level three coaching course as he transitions out of international cricket.
