Thomas Meunier Joins Sunderland on Two-Year Deal
Sunderland have made a strong statement for the new season, signing experienced Belgian defender Thomas Meunier. The move, following the departures of forward Eliezer Mayenda and midfielder Dan Neil, is part of Sunderland's ambitious off-season strategy.
According to BBC Sport - Football, Meunier will be part of the squad in early August as Sunderland look to capitalize on his wealth of experience and leadership. Meunier has previously played for some of Europe’s most prominent clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, and Trabzonspor. His international career includes 83 caps and playing for Belgium at the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
