Tinubu made the remarks during his meeting with the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria. He dismissed concerns about the electoral process and defended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against accusations of bias, asserting that “INEC is neutral. It has never intimidated anybody.”
