Top Coach Says Jannik Sinner’s Wimbledon Win Was ‘Very Average’
Tennis365 reports that former coach Patrick Mouratoglou has described Jannik Sinner's victory at the Wimbledon final as 'very average,' suggesting there is significant room for improvement even though it secured Sinner his fifth major title. The 24-year-old Italian overcame Alexander Zverev in a four-set thriller to win, but Mouratoglou feels Sinner was only operating at about 65-70% of his usual level.
Mouratoglou analyzed, “It was not a great Jannik Sinner and imagine he won a Grand Slam. This Sinner, if you compare his usual level in the last months to his level during Wimbledon, I would say he was at 65-70%. He wasn't very confident.
