YouTuber Valkyrae Addresses Fan Expectations and Blocks Controversial Account
Valkyrae, a well-known YouTuber in the gaming community, has blocked a prominent fan account after it publicly complained about her streaming frequency. The dispute began when the account criticized Valkyrae for not streaming enough on her own channel.
The fan account argued that collaborating with other creators does not count as streaming for Valkyrae’s community and stated, “If you’re not live on your channel, then you’re not streaming, you’re collabing on someone’s channel.” The account later ceased operations due to deactivation. Valkyrae addressed the situation live during a stream, explaining her decision:
Valkyrae confirmed that she did not hire or have anything to do with the parasocial fan account “ValkyHub” and emphasized, “Don’t watch me if you’re expecting streams every day. I’m not just a streamer.”
Valkyrae went on to explain her decision-making process: “I normally don’t block people. I just mute. But I felt like I have to set an example in this case,” she said.
