Veritas University Dominates inaugural NBA REC University Tournament
Nigeria's Veritas University clinched victory in the first-ever NBA REC University Tournament, defeating UNIABUJA 41-36. The two-day event at UNILAG’s Sports Center saw eight universities battle it out for top honors.
The competition kicked off with a group stage on the first day, where teams including Veritas, ABUAD, UNIABUJA and UNILAG advanced to the semifinals. In thrilling games on Day Two, UNILAG secured third place by defeating ABUAD 57-50 before Veritas clinched the title with a final victory over UNIABUJA.
